I may be using this feature for what it was not intended. My part is made of many bodies including the ribs. Perhaps a different approach is required. Oddly the geometry i am attempting to create via the rib feature are called ribs in the physical apparatus (boat) hence the expectations of this feature:)

Hi

Why dont you create it as another body and "combine" it? Please have a try.

the design objective is to have a multibody part

ribs feature in Onshape works elegantly! normal or parallel to sketch plane, multibody, merge or not merge
