Problem with sketches hiding my objects

I have noticed that recently I am having a lot of technical trouble with sketches and I want to know if there has been a recent major change to how they are used. For example:

I find that I have all my dimension constrained even though I did not constrain them. When this happens I always find that there is a hidden red dot with an icon next to it that I cannot find a description for. It looks like the following box with square hat:

WTF.jpg

If I delete these icons I can dimension again.

The Screencast below shows me deleting a hidden whatever-it-is. It also reveals that there are lines that are hidden. I did draw those lines as a rectangle. However, because I could no longer dimension with them, I drew new lines on top of the old ones to extend them. This adds even more confusion to the drawing.

Also, notice that a circle at the bottom of the sketch appears and I delete it. I put that circle there, but it does not appear except if I mouseover. All of this makes sketching very difficult. I need to be able to see what I draw and know what constraints are active.

Why is Fusion hiding objects in my drawings?

Purple articles are Projected from a source that does not reside in the current sketch.

Deleting the Projected icon, itself will break the link, and the item will no longer be purple.

If another sketch was visible when creating this sketch, selecting a point in that other sketch will be projected and become purple, in the current sketch.

You can’t move the purple items in the current sketch, because they are resident in another sketch.

Might help....
