I'm very new to Fusion 360. I'm trying to follow youtube tutorials but they all appear to have greater capability than I do.
Specifically, when trying to add a lid to a box - the youtuber has the box there to work from, I do not. I am unable to have child components active under a parent. Is this a design limit of the free version or am I missing something simple? Either way please someone put me out of my misery...it's driving me crazy.
Thanks

I wouldn't expect the functions you mentioned to not work on the free version. Do you have the file you are working on as well as the video tutorial you are following?

Thanks Guenther - I found a work around. By creating new bodies in the
parent I can convert them into child components. Thanks for your efforts to
help. Grately appreciated.
