Password reset issue

Hi everyone,
I am one of the administrators of Fusion Team for our company and I need to give support to external users.
I am trying to help one of them to reset his password but it seems not possible. The error message says:
"Password reset instructions could not be sent to your e-mail address"
Can anyone help guide me to understand how to proceed in order to reset the password?
