I have a customer post-processor that I have uploaded to the CAMPosts folder in the Libraries Assets. When I try to access it from the Cam Workspace it doesn't show up. The only option I get is something called "Built in Configuration". Can someone help?
Hi @GRoberts55
Thanks for posting! I am sorry to hear that your cloud post processors have not been showing up in the Post Process dialogue box within the CAM workspace.
The first things to check are that you have enabled cloud libraries in your Fusion 360 preferences and are using the right techniques to access the cloud posts in the Post Process dialogue box. Both of these variables are shown in the article linked here - the setting to enable cloud libraries is at the top and how to access your cloud posts in the CAM workspace is shown at the bottom. Hopefully this will help!
If this does not help, you may want to try uploading the .cps post file to the Assets > CAMPosts folder again - sometimes uploading a new version or restarting Fusion 360 will trigger the Post Process dialogue to update to include the newly added post.
Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions - I am happy to assist.
I think I am seeing where the problem is, but don't know how to fix it. When I log in to my account, it appears that my account is associated with 2 different storage locations. The first (where my files are actually stored) is referred to as "Fusion" and the other (where Fusion 360 is apparently looking for my post-processor) is referred to as "A360 Drive". The "A360 Drive" location has a number of files in it, none of which are mine. Any idea what is going on here?
Hi @GRoberts55
Thanks for the response! Fusion should be looking in your "Fusion" drive for the post processors - it sounds like that is where you are saving them. The A360 Drive should be used for your data - it should not include files from other folks - but it may include some generic and example files.
Are you certain you are logging into the A360 web browser and the Fusion 360 desktop app using the same login information?
To continue troubleshooting, I would start by adding the post to the Assets > CAMPosts folder in the Fusion area of the web browser (if you have been adding the posts to the Data Panel), or vise versa (if you have been adding the post to the Data Panel, add it to the Fusion area in the web browser.
If neither of these options work, you may be able to work around this issue by adding the post to your personal posts on the machines you need it on.
Please let me know if you have any questions - I'm happy to help!
Hi @GRoberts55
Thanks for the response - I apologize for my late reply. I have shown how to access the Fusion hub in a web browser in the screencast below. The Fusion hub will show the Fusion logo in the upper left corner (when you are in it) and you can navigate to the Fusion hub by clicking on where it says "A360 Drive" in the upper left corner and selecting "A360" from the drop down, as shown in the screencast below. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
