Missing Project Data

Hey gurus. After a recent update it seems all of my projects seem to have gone missing. When I first noticed the issue I was able to search file names to find the missing information. I was also able to see some of the more recent files when opening My Recent Data

After doing some reading I attempted a clean install, which removed the files I was able to see in My Recent Data, however the files created since the initial issue seem to have persisted in Myhub. I've tried going into offline mode as suggested elsewhere, but not change. I was also able to locate the files in a Time Machine backup, however I haven't figured out how to restore them.

I've attached a diagnostic log. Hopefully all of the data is still on the cloud and I'm doing something dumb.

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for posting! I have the following questions:

  • Were you working in Fusion 360 Online of Offline?
  • Are you referring only to the My Recent Data folder, or are the files missing from the original project folders as well?
  • Can you see the missing data when you log in to http://myhub.autodesk.com with your email address?

The following knowledge article provides the steps to "find" the missing files: Projects, folders, or files are missing from Fusion 360.

Let me know if that helps. Thanks!

Hey Pawel,

I was working in online mode.

I've seen files populate for a split second in My Recent Data, but none of the projects or files I've created are shown in the Projects root (top menu).

The data is not present on MyHub, but I remember it being there before this issue arose.

I've not had any luck with the articles linked. I have figured out that I'm able to manually upload files from backups, so I'm starting to recover. I remember needing to reregister my maker license for the year around the same time, so I'm thinking the two may be related.

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for the reply! Re-registering should not affect the data, but I believe a new personal Hub might have accidentally be created on the day of renewal. I will log this in with our development team for further investigation.

Could you make sure that the data is not assigned to your Fusion Team Hub?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Pawel,

I don't see any of the data in question in my Team Hub. That said, I also don't see any of the projects I've recently started either. I do, however see data in MyHub, so I'm thinking there's a configuration error somewhere. I'll work on it.

Hi @Anonymous,

thanks for the reply. Have you recently attempted to change the email address for your Autodesk Account? If so, could you confirm to us which are the old and the new email address (if you don't want to post this information here, please send these to me in a private message).

Thanks in advance!

Hi @Anonymous,

have you managed to look into it a bit more? I have it logged in with our developers and would like to confirm:

  • If you have recently changed the email address assigned to your Autodesk Account?
  • Which address are you using now / Which one you used before?

You can also sent the information to me in a private message.

Thanks a lot!
