I'm just curious if Autodesk has a veteran discount for some of their offerings.  I've paid for the eagle license but 495 dollars a year is a bit steep for a joe bloe in his garage.  Solidworks offers their student discount for their software for veterans, why doesn't autodesk?

K That sounds exactly like what i was trying to find.  I don't see that mentioned on the subscription page for fusion 360?

All you have to do is download the Free Trial of Fusion 360 and then you can sign up per the instructions in my last post inside of Fusion 360.

I'm curious if Military discount is offered. My renewal is tomorrow and i dont remember paying almost 455 when i bout this last year. I'm just a hobbyist at home

I agree, there are times I could do with other tools that are locked out of the hobbyist version i.e. PDF creation for when you need to get something made you don't have the tooling for at home.....

I'm in the same boat, there are several features that are not available in the home use version.  I was really shocked to learn there was no type of discount what so ever.  As mentioned earlier, even Solidworks offers a steep discount to active duty military and veterans since they role them up under the student license program.   Autodesk only offers a marginal blanket discount to those ACTIVELY enrolled in a course at only schools they say qualify.

I already "clicked here" to see if I qualify. I do not, that's why I posted what I did above. I am not enrolled in any school or taking any classes, ergo, I do not qualify.

Not exactly helpful, man. If you have a link or instructions, that'd be super useful. Just stating how something is, without any guidance on how to utilize that isn't particularly beneficial.

That wasn't the issue being addressed. There was a statement made that Military falls under the student discount. That is not actionable information currently, as there is no "institution" to input for which the military member would be a "student."

I've tried and it asks for "school name" which isn't any help for veterans or active duty personnel. Also Autodesk uses an outside agency who verify student/teacher/school administrator status. There is no option for military.

IF they roll it out then I'd be interested, I had the solidworks veterans offer but havent yet had the time to dig into it properly (didn't find it as intuitive as fusion 360)

In the UK we have a "defence discount card" operated by a private company on behalf of the govt, to get a card you have to be a veteran, serving or have some other very close tie to the military. You are required to submit proof you are actually serving or have served (record of service), small fee for the card and then you get access to an online and in person collection of discounts.

I'm sure other countries have something similar so this shouldn't be hard for companies to roll out and would engender quite a bit of goodwill on both sides of the atlantic.

care to supply a link from Autodesk citing that veterans are eligible for the student plan?
As literally no one from Autodesk has confirmed that veterans are eligible, nor does any of the documentation say anything of the kind.
So I'm sure many here would be keen to see a source for your claims as many would partake in the chance.
@CGBenner if you still work for Autodesk can you clarify this please?
