I can not seem to find where the Mesh to BRep option was moved to. It is not available in the search function, I have the design history turned off and am in the mesh work space. I am on version 2.0.3802 and using Win 10 Pro.
This is a feature I have used in the past and I did find a video on youtube that was uploaded today show how to do it but they were using mac.
Anyone have an idea as to what is happening here?

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community!
It's been a while since I've used this command, but I believe it's located in the Model environment, under the Modify menu.
Thanks,
I wonder when they moved it, I watched a video that was posted yesterday to youtube and it was in the mesh area to make the conversion. Also where it was the last time I used it.
Thank you for showing me the new location.
I'm struggling with this same issue. I am in the model environment, but compared to the screenshot shown I am missing both the "convert" button and the "mesh" sub-menu in my Modify drop-down.
Hi @rogueiq,
Is the timeline enabled or disabled? The mesh environment is a direct modeling only procedure, so the timeline needs to be off. To do this, please refer to this guide here.
Alternatively, if you do not want to fully disable the timeline, you can select, Create->New Base Feature to temporarily go into the direct modeling environment until you finish the base feature.
Thanks,
I had not been aware of that requirement. disabled and there it was, thank you!
I'm having a similar issue with "Mesh to BRep" not showing up.
I downloaded the "Applecore" stl file from Thingiverse - it's an apple core shaped bobbin to wrap charger cables around to keep them tidy.
However, the new C-to-Lightning cables don't fit in the slot, so I want to widen it. My intention is to convert from the stl to Brep and then edit.
But after "opening" the stl, and turning off history, I don't get the option to go to B-Rep in Convert, only T-Spline. And the conversion breaks because the stl has triangles in it and won't convert to splines.
Any idea what happened to the B-rep conversion feature in this case?
Hi @doug_bailey,
It is in the Modify menu under Mesh:
This feature appears to have moved again. The mesh editor is now a preview feature. Does this exist any more?
It is missing until you turn off capture design history. It would be much less misleading to grey out the Mesh to BRep option with design history turned on.
now with the new update of fusion 360 i can't find mesh to brep anymore...only possibility is brep to mesh...
How will it work in the latest update?
I had the same issue on the latest version 2.0.6. I couldn't see option to convert "Mesh to BRep" (stl objects to solid)
I had to disable the timeline by "right-click" on the root component and then "Do not capture Design History".
Beste,
This is so ****ing stupid.
Why do you have to turn off design history to make the option visible? This is one of those things that takes 30 minutes of Googling for NO reason other than for terrible UI design.
Not to mention the locations of things changes. The "Model" menu doesn't exist anymore.
