Last yeah I spent $2000 upgrading my Mac Pro to run fusion 360 only to find out today that Mojave is now unsupported!!

why are all these OS's dropping? surely Mojave should be able to run fusion!

If I go through the process of upgrading my Mac Pro to Catalina how long does that get me?

also I don't want to run Big Sur or later so does that mean you guys will FORCE me to update to an unwanted OS just to run fusion?

We generally drop support for an OS several months after Microsoft/Apple depreciate them, in this case Mojave was unsupported as of October 2021 and we set our end date for March 2022. There are a number of reasons, several being driver support, security updates and supportability for both support and the dev team.

We update our requirements as well as post an article before the depreciation which for Catalina is a safe bet for a year from now or so.

Ok thanks.

so no point in going through the process of updating my mac to Catalina then as it will be dropped soon enough.

so then I’m basically being forced to upgrade the OS to continue to use the program yeah?

You'll eventually need to upgrade to continue using Fusion 360. Quoting our article on this

Fusion 360 will continue to work on MacOS 10.14 after the March update of Fusion 360, but Fusion 360 will no longer continue to update, and eventually will stop functioning correctly, as it no longer meets the minimum system requirements to run Fusion 360

It is highly recommended to upgrade to the latest MacOS version that is compatible with your machine.
Fusion 360 is one of the few CAD/CAM packages that is supported on Mac. In order to build Fusion 360 on the MacOS, Autodesk must comply with Apple tools, and the versions those tools support. As a result, older versions of MacOS cannot be supported as Fusion 360 continually updates to introduce new enhancements.
