Learning panel blank

Learning panel blank

Hi, I've noticed that my learning panel is always blank.

On tutorials I've seen other people's Fusion software showing contextual help info in that panel.

I've tried it on two different computers in case it was some graphics glitch (one with an integrated Intel, and the other with a Quadro), and same on both.

Do I need to change some setting to get anything to show in that panel?

Thanks, Pete.

This is probably a graphics card issue.  What do you see if you select Self-Paced Learning as shown?  If you can see this, it is a better tutorial anyway.

Hi John, I can get to everything else from the help button (including the self-paced learning which I'm going through at the moment). The fact that it doesn't work on two different computers with different brand graphics cards makes me suspect its less likely to be a graphics glitch and maybe some setting that I've changed that is synced to Fusion on both computers. Pete.

Hey Peter,

Just curious, do you have a commercial subscription or personal use license?

Hi Matthew, its a personal use license at the moment. Am learning as much as I can while the 40% offer is on to decide whether I want to commit to it for DIY and model boat design (!) and moving to a paid license.

Hi. I have the same problem. The Learning Panel is blank, always. Same thing on two different computers. Have you, @Anonymous, made any progress since the last post?

Just wanting to check in and make sure you all are able to see and use the learning panel now.

Thank you!

I'm still having this exact issue in the latest Fusion 360. Personal use license. Completely blank white on both my Windows machines and my Mac.

@jheaton.dev

is it still?  It shouldn't be blank on either OS right now.

I'm having the same issue as well, even after the new update which is supposed to make it more useful.

The only thing that may cause it to be blank is if you have all the analytics options turned off.  There is one that is separate from the Google analytics option that is specifically for the learning panel.

If you want send me a private message and we can discuss.

I've got the same issue. My analytics were off, but turning them all on (and restarting) doesn't help.

It momentarily flashes some content on startup ("Connecting...Additional content will appear here") before going blank, so I'm pretty sure it's not a graphics driver issue.

EDIT: I lied. I had presumed that the "Better and more useful communications" email marketing options couldn't possibly have anything to do with it, but it works after turning that on! Bizarre. It is the only analytics option that must be enabled.

For me, it seems to require both "Desktop Analytics Program" and "Better and nore useful communication" to be checked... + a restart

Now it works.

I am having a related, but different problem.  The learning panel shows some default content and does not fill with context related information.  This is my first time trying to user it.

Hi,

Based on the screen shot, I see you may have an update pending...not likely the issue, but may be something to try. Also please verify the proper Data Collection and Use option is checked in your Preferences.

I have checked the correct button, but my learning panel will still not update & does not fill with context related information.

Thanks

Hi Richie,

Have you tried clearing the product's cache (Help > Support and Diagnostics > Clear Cache Data)?

If that doesn't get the Learning Panel to start functioning, can you please provide more details? In your original post, I assume by "checked the correct button" you mean the Preference mentioned in this thread.

If that Preference is selected,

1) What build are you using (Help > About)?
2) Which OS are you using?
3) Is the computer online or offline?
4) And, in the toolbar, which tool(s) did you click on expecting to see content?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the prompt reply. Clearing the product cache has made no difference. Yes the preference under ‘Better and more useful communications’ is selected

  1. Fusion 360 2.0.15050 x86_64
  2. Windows 10 Pro version 10.0.19045 Build 19045 22H2
  3. Computer is online
  4. None of the tools I click will bring up context info in the learning panel (after invoking the learning panel with Ctrl+/)

Thanks in advance

Richie
