Joined componenets floating in space

I make separate components, Join them together with joints.  Realize I want to make some of these components inside of it's own "Weldment" component because I'm going to have two of these weldments attached to the main assembly. I drag the history marker back to before I made any of these components.  Make a new component, "Weldment", move history marker to end, then drag and drop all necessary components up and into the "Weldment" component.  Copy and paste the new "Weldment" and join to other side of of the main assembly. Works fine, until (and I still cant figure out what is causing it) I do something unrelated to the weldment and at least one of the parts inside of the copied weldment is just floating in space somewhere.  It's still "Joined" and you can't move it.  If you edit the joint, there are no issues, everything looks good until you hit "Enter" and it's floating again.  Sometimes, you can try to drag it, or what it's supposed to be attached to and it will snap back in place, but not always. Attached you can see two separate parts from two separate weldment components that have nothing to do with each other locked in these positions.

We can’t see your browser.

What is grounded?

All components are free to move until prevented by the user with, Ground, or Joint.

Your container component (either or both) is / are likely able to float in space with click drag.

Sorry, I was just trying to show where the parts are in relation to the joints ( I had a PDF attachment in the question). Everything is joined or grounded. The parts in question have rigid joints located in their respective main assembly components, and one of the parts in the main assembly component are rigidly joined to a separate component that is either grounded or rigidly joined to something that is grounded. There are a lot of other motion joints in the overall model, but the items that are floating have no connections to anything with motion joints. I did close the job, re-opened it, and everything was where it was supposed to be, but as soon as I drag the time line backwards and then forward, parts are scattered.

Please attach your model.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

Check for Capture Position icons, that interfere with the joints or Grounds.

f3z is attached.  If you roll the history marker way back and then forward, the part(s) will jump out.  If you close and reopen the model, it's fine.  Thanks for taking a look.

In some models, especially ones as complex as this one, you need to occasionally use the Compute All command, either from the keyboard (Ctrl+B) or (Command +B) or using the Command Icon, shown below, to recalculate all relationships within your model.  After doing what you suggested I did see a couple of components not return to their position but after using the Compute All command, the issue ceased.

I would get in the habit to hit this command every once in a while if you see similar issues.

Perfect!!! Thanks.  I knew that button existed, but never quite knew what the point of it was so I never used it.  Now I know.
