Invalid HTML was found in the message body

Hello everyone !

I couldn't attach screencast even after it was published public. The error message shows like,

"Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied"

Is there any bug or am I supposed to do anything to get rid of that issue. I have attached a screenshot for your reference. Kindly waiting for a valid reply.

Yes actually, I am getting this issue for the past few days. And there is no proper solution for this in Forum too.

This is an error message that has been posted by many users.

Unfortunately, there is obviously no solution "against" it yet.

wow, i can't believe this still hasn't been fixed ... how do people manage to insert screencasts into their messages ? Is there a workaround ?

This issue has been unresolved for many years.

There are two work-arounds:

1. Post link rather than attempt to embed the code.

2. Achieve Autodesk Expert Elite status (and I am not sure that it works for all EEs).

Why oh why they haven’t removed the PAST A SCREENCAST box until they figure out how to make it work I’ll never understand.  The EEs know how to copy the html so they don’t need the box.  It only frustrates everyone else because it doesn’t work and doesn’t give correct error message (it should say, “You do not have elite permission for this operation, post link instead.”)

re 2. -> that's just weird. it seems to me that being able to easily show through a screencast would be equaly if not more helpful to someone posting a problem/question than to an expert replying. it would for sure cut down on the 'can you share the file' requests (which in a commercial engineering context is most of the time out of the question) and make it easier for people not fluent in english to show a problem/question/issue.

Hi,

A few years ago, an AD employee told me (off the record) that embedding screencasts via HTML code is a security risk and therefore only allowed to a certain group of people.
Since then, I have been linking to my screencast.
Various contributions in this matter (also in the screencast forum) were not acknowledged at all or with questionable reasons.

Not an elegant solution, but i click the HTML button and start deleting things until the message posts. 🙈
