How to tidy this model up to make it useable?

Hi all,

I've been using this model but it's incredibly slow and constantly causes fusion to crash, even when I don't capture design history.

What is the best way to set this model up to be workable?

Thanks,

Christian

This will require several hours of work, but it can be done.

The reason tis is slow is because instead of using proper component and sup-assembly instancing, the entire model was exported as individual solid body.

That requires much more memory and computational resources than should be necessary.

This model uses a lot of identical components, so the memory footprint should be substantially lower than  in it's current form.

What modifications do you want to perform on this model?

I've had a closer look ad I believe this is going to require a LOT more than a few hours.

The main structure is a single solid body. Dissection that into its individual parts is going to take a lot of time!
