How to close off drawings which appear on the Data Panel (on the left of the screen that shows samples of what has been opened)) to the left of screen

Hi,

I am new to Fusion 360 and currently using a text book to study it.

I opened up some drawings in Fusion 360 when I first got the program and printed some off and also saved them (exported them) to my local folder on my computer.  This was before I got my text book, so now I want to start fresh with the program.

I want to now clear my Data Panel which is still showing those drawings I opened up and stop them appearing there so I can get onto something else.  How do you close off these drawings that are showing in the Data Panel?  Does 'Delete' mean it will just be deleted from the Data Panel or will it delete from the server or from my folder on the computer?

Your help will be appreciated.

Thank you kindly.

"Delete" will delete the design from your project completely, and the data panel will no longer show them.  It sounds like that is what you want, if you are completely done with those designs.

If you select a file, in the Data Panel, and right click and choose Delete, it will remove it from the Data Panel and for your Web Data Base active folder.  It will place it in the Web Database Trash where I believe it will be purged after some time period which I do not know bu it a good long time.

Be aware, if you have files that are dependent on other files, then they cannot be deleted until the master file as been deleted.  For example, if you have a Model file and you created a 2D Drawing from it, the model is dependent on the 2D Drawing and cannot be deleted until the 2D Drawing is deleted.
