How to chamfer, draft, fillet a hexagonal form

Complete newbie so please be patient!

I'm trying to extrude, chamfer, and draft a hexagonal form then fillet the edges.

I want the form to have a taper angle of 4 degrees inside and outside, that the hexagon is extruded to 100mm but every other point is only approx 72mm.

I tried with the hexagonal form as one object, tried with the hexagonal form split into six bodies and different combinations of order to no avail.

Everything I try gives me errors on at least two sides when I use the draft (see the pointy bits on the inside of two bodies) and some edges return the error message when I fillet. Please let me know what I'm doing wrong.

A file is included here with errors but it shows the kind of object I'm looking for.

Many thanks to anyone who can help. I'm sure it's something really stupid!

Attached you will find your model without the fillets.  Fillets will be another matter due to the edge intersections.

Thanks so much, John.

Analyzing the history bar I can't understand your approach and how you knew the best way to do it,

but I can at least get on with other parts of the project.

Best wishes,  Kath

@user924 In your original design your first sketch is not fully constrained and one line doesn't go through a corner of the hex.

Never leave dots unconstrained, always make sure you have the red lock on the sketch before creating any feature.

Just fixing the sketch then fixing the fillet gives this. Is this what you're after? See attached file.

Or if you want all edges filleted do them all in one feature like this.

Now I've thought about it a bit here a more efficient way of doing it using a pattern.

I should have looked a @jhackney1972 version. Here's what I came up with fitting the criteria better. Edit updated, forgot the draft!

Thank you so much for all the help here. Mark, Gunther and John,

Schoolboy errors to start! I will scrutinize the files so I can learn from my mistakes.

Can't tell you how much I appreciate the help.

Best wishes, Kath
