Generative Design Outcomes Stuck at Iteration 4

So I submitted my first generative design study yesterday in an attempt to figure out how to use this tool. Last night I checked on it and it had only created four iterations for two outcomes by the time I shut down the PC. I figured that's okay, its automated, it's taking some time but it will be done in the morning. Today I opened Fusion back up and both outcomes are still stuck on iteration 4... I tried cancelling the job since it is obviously not working but Fusion is telling me that I can't cancel since an outcome has already been generated.

What do I do in this case? Am I still going to be charged for a job that is not completed because the first few iterations of an outcome was generated? I read somewhere that the jobs cancel themselves after 24 hours but what happens then? If so few iterations were created then maybe it will detect the job failed?

How do I prevent this kind of hang-up in the future? I realized I set the synthesis slider full right before I understood what it did and forgot to go back and set it to the middle. That could have something to do with it. The model is fairly simple though with only two preserve geometries, three obstacle geometries, no starting shape, and I have both preserve geometries either constrained or loaded in my four load cases. The factor of safety is something like 19 on iteration four where things got stuck when I was aiming for a factor of 2 so I assume it just got bogged down with the synthesis being set so high since it shouldn't be anywhere near any of the study targets.

As I closed the browser after submitting this question one of the outcomes did update to iteration 5. So it is still working and not completely hung up. That being said, it there actually a study timeout or will this run until something converges?

It is possible that it just takes a looooong time. I have had studies ran multiple days and nights before they were completed. In the meantime, you can try and copy the file, and run another Generative Study, with the slider being set a bit lower. I believe there is a certain limit on amount of studies that can run at the same time, but it is possible to have a few at least.
