hello,
can I generate a work path for the lathe using the sketch alone?
and is it possible to do a single face and profile machining from the model?

Yes, for the most part, that should be possible. Do you have a sample you could share so we understand the extent of what you're trying to accomplish?

File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

You can use just a sketch selected under Model in the turning op but the sketch needs to be pretty much what you'd draw for a Revolve feature so your not saving much using a sketch.

And you can set the front and back distances to restrict the cut to a single face or area.
