Fusion 360 - Unable to connect to the internet

Hello,

First, this is a fresh install on a fresh desktop. I've had no issue with Fusion 360 on my old machine on the same network. I'm just using the Personal edition.

Upon installing, before being able to log in or anything on first launch, Fusion 360 hits me with the "Unable to connect to Internet" error. I've tried several fresh installs, using the cleaning utility, renaming/deleting the Web Services folder, pretty much everything I can find in the other threads.

There is no proxy and no local firewall filtering my traffic when I try to launch. I've got a network firewall, but it is allowing everything through. I've attached my AppLog file.

I've noticed it does seem to be failing on the part where it tries to GET the version.txt from the autodesk.com URL. I'm able to pull this up just fine in all browsers besides IE, which gives the "This website doesn't work in Internet Explorer" page, along with the retirement date of IE.

Hello,

The new Fusion 360 Service Utility has streamlined the process for gathering diagnostic logs & System Information for sending to Fusion Tech Support and repairing Fusion 360. It also has improved the process for uninstalling and reinstalling Fusion 360 to repair an incomplete install.

We recommend using the new Service Utility instead of the older Automatic Clean Uninstall method.

To find the Service Utility:

On a Windows PC:

  1. Open the Control Panel.
  2. Select "Programs and Features".
  3. Find Fusion 360 in the Programs List and Left-click on it once to highlight it.
  4. At the top of the window a new option to "Change" should appear when Fusion 360 is highlighted.
  5. Click on "Change".
  6. The Fusion 360 Service Utility dialogue window will now open.

On MacOS:

  1. Open Launchpad or Spotlight.
  2. Search for the Service Utility.
  3. The Fusion 360 Service Utility dialogue window will now open.

Once you have the Service Utility Window open;

  1. Select "Gather System Info" before you do anything else.
  2. This will compile the Fusion 360 Diagnostic Logs and the System Information for your computer that will help Fusion 360 Tech Support and Development learn from what is happening with Fusion 360 on your PC.
  3. After a few moments a window saying the logs and info have been gathered.
  4. Select Open File Location on that window.
  5. Send the zip files in that location into Fusion 360 Support either by uploading on your forum thread here or by creating a support case with the "Contact Support" button in the utility if you have a support entitlement via subscription.

Once you have gathered the Fusion logs and System Info;

  1. Now select "Repair Fusion 360" on the Service Utility window.
  2. Fusion will begin the automated process of cleaning up old file pathways and installing the latest stable build version to your PC while keeping your data protected.

This Repair option is essentially the new, more robust version of the old Clean Automatic Uninstall tool.
