@Anonymous my computer that worked OK today updated and still logged in after the update so it's not that. The computer that wouldn't go online today was fine yesterday after updating.

@Anonymous - I responded to your email with (hopefully) a solution. We don't believe the issue is tied to the update, but rather a series of small service issues that triggered taking Fusion into offline mode, but failed to authenticate properly to allow a return to online.
If others are still stuck offline, please let me know.
thanks, it fixed the issue for me.
Maybe you should post it here just in cas others have the same problem.
In my case fusion 360 was prevented from connecting once by my firewall and I restarted it but it happens eveytime it updates and never was an issue.
Good to hear @Anonymous.
<<EDIT>> Nate Chandler's next post has a solution that should work if anyone else runs into the issue.
If anyone else experiences this issue, can you try the following?
Remove the LoginState.xml file and Restart Fusion 360:
Hi innovatenate,
I'm unable to follow your instructions. Terminal gives me a message that the folder does not exist.
What can I do to get back online. I really have to continue my work, I have a deadline tomorrow!
My system, mac book pro with Sierra. latest fusion update. No clue why i'm in offline mode.
EDIT: found the library folder, but cannot continue the folder path... In the folder autodesk there is no folder named 'web services'. Only 'Adlm' and 'ADUT'.
@MathieuHebbrecht - it's sounding like you might not be in the right folder. When you open terminal, did you enter exactly "open ~/library/", with the space after "open"?
You should make sure that you're in your User Library and not the System Library folder.
In the View Menu for the Finder Window, make sure that you have Show Path Bar enabled.
The full path will look like this:
If the open library command is not working in Terminal.
You can select the Go drop down menu in Finder. Hold down the ALT (Option) Key on your keyboard.
When you do this, the Library directory will appear.
If you select Library it should get you to Macintosh HD > Users > %username% > Library..
Please give that a try and let me know if it helps!

I have the same problem, did I look at the wrong directory or something else went wrong? It's empty inside.
@kwongkan - is it possible that you are actually running the version from the Mac App Store? If so, would you mind trying the direction suggested in my original post of this thread?
@brianrepp Yes, it's from the App Store, and BOOM! It worked! Thank you very much!
Glad to hear it! Thank you for following up with us here to let us know what worked.
Hello Nathan,
Had the same offline issue yesterday, quit and restarted Fusion 360 this morning and all seems OK.
No computer restart and strangely enough, for now, I did not have to do the proposed LoginState.xml fix.
Just thought I'd mention it.
Best regards,
Ludo
Nathan,
Got to work this morning and it was stuck in offline mode. Deleted the xml file and I'm up and running. Thanks!
