Fusion Extensions in the Education Licenses

Are Fusion360 extensions accessible via the education plan? I can see them in my account's products page, but can not access them in Fusion itself. In Fusion, it just says you only get a 30 day free trial, but that conflicts with what I've seen. This post seems to suggest they are given for 30 days and then you can just keep renewing it as long as you are verified as an student, but something about that just doesn't feel like it would work. I've seen a few posts say you have full access if your account it using an educational email address, but I'm not using my educational address for my Autodesk account, but have verified it with my student ID, so how would that work?
