Fusion doesnt seem to update.

I am trying to open a STP file... actually I have tried to open about 4 STP files with no luck. First I was getting a message that states the file cannot be converted. So I cleared the cache and uploaded via A360 instead as per the instructions. Files uploaded and I converted them into a 360 component. However when I try insert the component I receive a dialog box telling me it was created with version 2.0.5904 and my current version is 2.0.4391... I have closed and reopened the program multiple times and it just seems to be happy on its current old version. Fusion is already up to 2.0.6, so why is my program just not updating? I would really prefer not perform a full re-install.

Hi @admin7DC3R ,

Happy to help here. Unfortunately, I believe the only way at this point to get on the latest would be to uninstall and reinstall - but generally this is a 5 minute process. The install is small.

Let's dig into why this failed though, to prevent this in the future. Can you go to the help menu in Fusion and collect your diagnostic log files and post them here?

Thanks,

Hi @admin7DC3R ,

From your update logs:

adsk.dls.streamer.exceptions.RegistryNotFound: The Registry is not found

Generally this is a company policy/anti-virus interfering with the update process and not allowing Fusion to write files correctly during the update.

Thanks,
