It is very important that everyone understands the difference between a crash (in which Fusion stops running entirely, and you get a crash dialog), and an operation which takes a long time. In this case, the resulting file is 60MB in size, has 76,000 faces, 225,000 edges, and 150,000 vertices. You are asking Fusion to compute a LOT of geometry here, and it is going to take some time. I think it takes around 20 minutes to compute this pattern on my 2018 MacBook Pro. Something that is this complex is going to be slow, and you should expect that. That is not a crash.
I've been trying to think of an appropriate analogy, and have not yet settled on a good one. But one that comes close is the difference between building a doghouse, a single-family house, and a 20-story office building. You can build a doghouse in an afternoon, you can build a single-family house in a few months, and the office building will likely take 2-3 years. No one expects to build an office building in an afternoon. You would not say that the building process has failed because that building is not done in a day.
