I am working on a file when I save it the Fusion 360 crashes. It does not happens in every file but in some files. I read previous forums also but they didn't work for me. I also updated the drivers and it keeps crashing. This is the video of the problem https://youtu.be/q9ZEavSYG4I.

Hi @hammoohammad

Can you try collecting your logs again and attaching them? The most recent logs in the attached file are from August 9th, and the last time you worked on 'knurled knobs' was when it was at version 5. So I'm a bit confused on how it is now on version 10.

Does this happen with all of your files? Or just this one? If you can share the file here as well, that would be great.

Cheers,

Karina

I attached the file and diagnostic logs again. My fusion 360 also crashes on startup, not always but sometimes.

Hi @hammoohammad

So I can see in your logs places where you hit save and then the logs end. In the video, it shows Fusion hanging but not quite what happens after (do you force quit? do you see a crash report dialog?) If you see a crash report dialog, please send those in as it's very helpful. I don't see any attached to your account. If it doesn't close/crash, try waiting for a while (even an hour), I'd like to know what happens. It's possible that your network is extremely slow?

Do you have this issue with any other files, or is it just this one? I don't have any issues saving the file, so I'm guessing it's system/network related.

Cheers,

Karina

I waited for 20 minutes it stays the same. I also turned off my internet and worked in offline mode still it crashed on saving. It also crashes when I export it to f3d format. Yes I have this issue on other files but not in all files.

@hammoohammad

Have you tried a clean uninstall/reinstall of Fusion?

And you're getting no other errors whatsoever? (unable to validate a security certificate?) Can you try using a different network?

Do you have any antivirus?

I'm seeing oauth2 errors in the webservices log and found this thread that sounds a bit familiar.

Yes I uninstall and reinstall it three times but it still crashes on save and I didn't get any type of message. I have no antivirus but windows defender is on. It also crashes in offline mode

@karina.harper The link to the clean uninstall utility no longer works! There is now a service utility, info on starting it here. It's not clear if the uninstall option is the same as the old clean uninstall but there is a link to how to do a manual clean uninstall here.

Karina,do you know if the uninstall option is the same as the old clean uninstall? I've had a couple of times where a standard uninstall would not fix things and used the clean uninstall utility, hope they've not taken this away with the new service utility!

Ah - thank you @HughesTooling 😅 I have been using that bookmark for so long I forgot to update it.

There were some updates to the uninstall utility when it was moved into the service utility, but yes it's essentially the same. The hope with the service utility is to allow for some of the same actions in repair/reset without fully uninstalling, but uninstall is still an option.

@hammoohammad Can you try performing a 'crash recovery save'? Additionally, try saving to a different folder?

Cheers,

Karina
