Frozen sketch

Hey everyone,

I have a sketch that's driving me crazy. I can't move or dimension most of the elements. See here:

The only sketch elements I can move are the end points of the spline. All the other control points, and both ellipses, won't move at all and won't accept dimensions.

As you can see the sketch isn't green/fixed, there's nothing at the origin, and there are no constraints, so the advice in other threads about frozen sketches doesn't seem to apply here. I've also double-checked that I have "select through" and "select all" activated.

Any thoughts? I've attached the project.

Your sketch is a 3d sketch.

You can only move elements in that sketch with the Move Tool.

Or you can revert the content back to the sketch plane, for normal tools to work.

(select the spline, right click, select move to sketch plane from that menu).

Might help...

@davebYYPCU thank you for such a quick reply! That's so strange, I've never used the 3D sketch functionality in Fusion before (after reading a lot about how finicky it is), and I have no idea how that sketch got moved out of its original plane. But that does explain the problem.

Thanks again.

You don't have to invoke that functionality, Fusion will accommodate moves off the sketch plane, and convert automatically to 3d, if you have 3d ticked, in the sketch palette.  Sounds like your attempts to reshape, may have taken something off the sketch plane, then its 3d from there on..
