I'm currently working on an infinity pool edge and need to create a flat pattern of this lip so I can have my CNC machine cut the appropriate piece out. I can create a Flat pattern of "Body 4" easily but can't find a way to get one of "body 5".... any suggestions?

Flat Pattern - only one allowed in each component, so a SM component required for each part / body.

Create SM Component. ( You need the Sheet Metal Tools - So has to be SM version of Create Component.)

Activate this Component

Thicken one of the current surface bodies.  (Material thickness)

Go to Sheet Metal tab, then right click on the solid body, select convert to Sheet Metal, Select the wider face,

Create Flat Pattern.

Create, Activate 2nd component and repeat the steps above.

when I follow those steps I get this error message on the conical face:

"Error: Can't calculate body thickness. Select the base face of a valid Sheet Metal body (typically a wide, flat area)."

I can tell you what to do, but can’t see what you did.

Attach your file, for trouble shooting.

Or edit and save copies from the Whisperer example.

Hint: A flat planar area is required, but you don’t want a wide flat area, so I made it a very very narrow flat area.

still not sure how to make it all work but realized I can just use Whispers file and edit it to do what I need so it's "solved" for me
