File cannot be deleted!

I have a corrupt file that I cannot delete. When I go to the Browser to delete I get the following error: "Cannot delete selected data. Data is in use or relationships exist on selected data." I checked, it has 4 versions and none have any relationship that I can find, also 2 versions don't even show any design in them. Is there some way to forced delete stubborn files? Thanks

The one file I cannot delete is called “To delete” and it has 7 versions, it is in the “RPi Parts” folder, in the “Michel's First Project” project. I have no issues with any other file, just the one I renamed "To delete” is always showing ‘in use’ for some reason.

Hi @mc_ott,

 

Thank you for the information! I confirmed that it cannot be deleted and I get the same error message. 

 

Just to check, have you opened this design on another computer? If so, could you try opening this design on that computer and save it as a new version, close the design and Fusion, and then delete the design to see if that makes a difference?

 

If that doesn't help, I think we will need to check if everything is working correctly at the back end.

Helo Masa,

Trying your suggestions I get different problem now on my iMac version, it crashes at opening:

I have Fusion 360 on my iMac with Sierra OS on it but does not open, it crashes after starting to open a window in “offline” mode. Gives the following error “Sufficient data not found to switch to Offline mode. Application will go online now.” then crashes. I did 2 installs after complete uninstall using Fusion360_Cleaner app. One install with App-store downloaded app then one from my account at Autodesk download. Both behave the same. I did try to start Fusion 360 from the Terminal.app (going into the package contents of Fusion360 app) and the result is below for your debugging.

I did a complete Fusion360 uninstall again and the app is not on my iMac anymore. Next, I will try my Macbook-Air Fusion360 but I mainly run Fusion360 on my Dell Windows10 laptop because it is faster.

UPDATE:
When I tried Fusion 360 my MacBook, after 5 to 8 minutes, it said something like “Your are working off-line… We are currently updating our services…”. When I try to put it online, it does not go online gives the same message of updating services. There is no way to update the files at present. Below I also included the Terminal.app run results for your debugging.

NOTE:
After today, I will not be able to do anything from my end until the end of this month, I will be away without connection to internet.
