EXPORT COMPANY CUSTOM TEMPLATE BUT CANT OPEN WHEN UPLOADING THIS EXPORTED FOLDER

Hi,

I have exported my Template that i created and want to open this exported file so my colleagues can open this template on their computers. But when i export it it gives a Name.f3z file which i cannot open directly. What i do is unzip this folder then it gives me:

1. Name.f2d

2. Name.f3d

3. DesignDescription.json

4. Manifest.json

The only file that can open is the Name.f3d which is the 3D model of the PCB.

I want the Template please help.

Hi @Tareq_Moshid

I'm sorry to hear that you've been having some trouble. Here's the worlflow to share and download a tempalte file.

From your Data panel, right-click on the template file, the choose "Share Link"

Make sure that "Allow items to be downloaded" is checked

You can now share this link directly with your colleague, or you can download it and share it yourself. Note that you may need to click on a popup near the bottom of the preview (markup tool, in the area indicated by the red box), before you can download the file.

Thank you for the quick response.

Okay perfect i got it working. What i was doing wrong is unziping the .f3z file.

So IF anyone having the same issue what you have to do is export or download or share the template this will be a .f3z file and to open this, you would have to go on File > upload and upload the .f3z file to open your template
