Hi,
My 30 day trial of Fusion360 has expired and unfortunately while attempting to subscribe to the hobbyist license the "Expired: Buy Now" button in the upper left area of the window doesn't seem to work when clicked. Upon initially starting Fusion360 the button does do anything when hovered over or clicked. If I click on my name and view either "Autodesk Account" or "My Profile" after returning to Fusion360 the "Expired: Buy Now" will turn gray and display a secondary bubble below it with the text "Expired: Buy Now" in it. When clicking in this state nothing happens. I have tried the following to attempt to resolve the issue without success;
I have also included a screencast of the behavior described above.
I am running OS X 10.13.6 on a 13" MBP (2017).
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,
Are you still having this issue? I went to manually add trial days while w figure this out, but it looks like you are no longer set to expire any time soon.
If you are still having this problem, can you please send me your diagnostic log files from the help menu in Support and Diagnostics. Also - is there another computer you can sign up on to enable that dialog?
Thanks,

Hi James,
Thanks for the reply. I ended up installing Fusion360 in a windows VM, logged in with my account and subscribed to the startup license. After doing that the new license was applied and Fusion360 worked as expected in OS X. Since I'm no longer having the issue I'm guessing that it isn't useful to send you the diag logs. If it is lmk and I'll do so.
Thanks,

James,
I'm having the same problem. My screen appears very similar to the posted screencast with the exception of the button greying out. I also can't get my diagnostic log files from the help menu. Not sure what's going on there.
I am a hobbyist and would like to open my account back up again. Can you help please? Perhaps adding days to my account will allow me to get to the "subscribe" button, like new users see instead of the current button that isn't working. I'm also open to other solutions if you have them.
For now, this Mac is the only machine I can use to access the Fusion 360 environment. Eventually, I'll have a Windows PC to work off of, but that is a ways off.
Thanks and Happy New Year.

I am also having the same problem. My trial has expired and clicking Expired: Buy Now does nothing. I want to activate a hobbyist license.
I see that the previous message has gone a week without a response. I hope that's not the way it's going to be here.

Hi @Anonymous,
Can you PM me your email address you use for Fusion? I'd like to add trial days and see if we can get the button to appear. That is very strange.
Also, can you try going into your preferences (click your name in the top-right corner of Fusion), toggle the Graphics Driver from Auto-Select to DX9, restart Fusion, then try?
Thanks,

A detail for you as you continue to debug this problem. After returning from the holidays, I had access to a PC today in addition to the Mac I was working on over the holidays. I did a clean install of the latest version of Fusion 360. When I opened the program, the same "Expired: Buy Now" icon was in the upper right menu bar, but it actually functioned when I clicked on it. I was able to go through the steps and renew my hobbyist license.
Perhaps this is just a mac problem?
Thanks,
Jason

Hi guys,
Thanks for all the posts. I've been able to reproduce this and am logging this with our development team for a quick fix hopefully.
In the interim, it looks like if you go to the Preferences in Fusion 360 and then in the Preview Tab toggle the UI preview on, select Apply, then restart Fusion, this starts working again.

I tried the UI trick and no luck there either. Any other workarounds?

I was just able to get past this. There is a little gear icon in the lower right corner of the Fusion 360 window. When you click that you get a small menu. In mine the option 'Hide all inactive features' was checked. After un-checking it, I was able to click the button. Note that after you get the popup you need to click the tiny text at the bottom to renew your hobbyist license.
Hope this helps!

I'm stuck on this issue. None of the items mentioned in this thread work for me. I've PM'd @James.Youmatz but haven't heard back. Any other courses of action?
[Edit]
I spoke too soon. I fired up F360 again today and the expiration notice is now gone.

Hi @Anonymous ,
I looked into your account and you have a valid hobbyist account. Have you tried signing out and back in with the email you provided me in the PM? If yes, and you still have this issue, then this is a different issue at hand. Can you post your log files here. Also, can you access login.autodesk360.com

I got it to work simply by resizing the app window. It seemed to reset the button state, and then it worked just fine.

I am also having this issue but my issue is a bit different than everyone else here.
My expired :buy now button actually opens when i click it but after i click it I get all the options
I plan to use fusion 360 for:
3d modeling
industrial design
CAM
Drawings
Simulations
Other
When i try to choose "3d modeling" the little box doesn't work. In fact i can try any of the boxes and they all don't work. even if i try to close it (top right corner "X") doesn't work.
I tried reinstalling fusion 360 same issue.
I tried Switching the "UI preview" that didn't work.
Windows 7 64 bit if that matters.
Anyone have any clue how to fix this?

For me, it crashes when I try to go out of full screen mode after having clicked the "buy now" button (also a hobbyist license).
Once it restarted, I got the "you have the latest update" green bar and the "buy now" button works.
