Error in opening file that is uploaded in Fusion 360 Cloud Storage

Hello Sir, Need urgent help on following issues:- 1)I have created some designs in fusion 360 in offline mode for few days. To upload these files into Cloud, i connected the software to internet. Some of files have successfully uploaded with exception of one file that needs to be shown on urgent basis. At first, this file took lot of time to upload to cloud & when it is uploaded its version is not up to date as i have created in offline mode. Its latest version is V1 in online mode whereas it was at version of V3 in offline mode. Hence provide guidance in this regard how to open latest file in Fusion 360 as early as possible. 2)Also when i open file with version V1, Dialogue box appears stating that path is not found. 3)I have also attached some snapshots of errors provided by Fusion 360 for your reference.

Hi @Harshal_Belan,

I can help! Can you please go to the Help menu within Fusion 360 and collect your diagnostic log files and post them here. They will give us a better clue as to what is happening. As a temporary workaround - are you able to open v3 in offline mode? If so, can you then go to the file menu and select Export (in f3d format). This way, we now have a copy that is independent of the chain. Then, go back into online mode, and right-click the model in the data panel (should be v1) and select import new version. Does this work?

The logs should indicate what might be going on with the file and why it is unable to be uploaded/you get that error message with v1.

Thanks,

Hello Sir, Checked in Data panel about that particular file with version V3 in offline mode, but it is not visible. Also checked status of same file while going through A360 workspace but that couldnot appear there also. Kindly find diagnostic log file that i have attached along with this message.

Hi @Harshal_Belan,

Thanks for sharing your logs. I think I may know what is going on. Just to check have you manually exported those files yet? I just want to ensure that we do not lose this offline data in my next steps!

From your logs I can see you are on version 2.0.3034 which is our build from May 16, so you are on an outdated version of Fusion 360. I believe this is what is causing the error. To fix this - please follow the steps below:

  • Enable hidden folders from the Control Panel (guide here)
  • Open Windows Explorer
  • Navigate to C:/users/username/appdata/local/autodesk
    • If you do not see Appdata then hidden folders are not enabled
  • Delete Webdeploy and Web Services
    • If either folder is unable to be deleted since it is in use - either restart your computer or open your task bar and quit all A360 services
  • Reinstall Fusion from this link here
    • Right-click and select "Run as Administrator"

This will ensure you are on the latest version. I'm hoping this will force the upload from offline to online mode - but let me know if it does not. Again, make sure you export the offline files in order to quickly ensure that we have a backup of the data!

Thanks,

Hello James, Thanks for your valuable reply. I followed steps as per your suggestions. That are:-

1)I uninstalled Autodesk Fusion 360 software. Then i deleted all temp files from C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy & autodesk.webdeploy.streamer.

2)I downloaded installation link & started Autodesk Fusion 360 installation Streamer application. Here i got problem at first of installation phase. Snapshot of Error & corresponding Log files are attached with this message.

So, want a resolution of this installation error. & also want to know how to get backup of files that have done in offline mode of Fusion 360 before going to Online,to prevent their loss in these type of cases.

Hi @Harshal_Belan,

How did you uninstall Fusion? Was it per my instructions or did you use the Control Panel uninstall? I really hope that you only deleted Webdeploy and Webservices - as you may have lost your offline cache if you did not follow my steps or back up your data BEFORE uninstalling.

Regarding your installation issue, I see the following errors:

urllib.error.URLError: <urlopen error [Errno 11001] getaddrinfo failed>
socket.timeout: _ssl.c:704: The handshake operation timed out

These are typically network/certificate errors that are not allowing this update/install to happen. Are you using a home network or a work/school network to install Fusion currently? If it is a home network can you try to reset the router just in case that is posing the issue. Also, do you have any anti-virus on the computer that may be interfering?

You may want to review our network troubleshooting guide here.

Thanks,

Hello James, Yes software was un installed using control panel. Webdeploy and Webservices are also deleted from app data as guided by you. I am using work network and router reset cannot be done. Antivirus is running and I will try installation by disabling it (with help of my system admin) With Regards Harshal Belan

Hello James,

Even going through all procedures & attempting all steps for clean uninstall of Software,i got the same issue (Even after disabling Antivirus software) that is related to server. Sometimes, installation process stops at 0%,Sometimes it goes upto 17% & suddenly Dialogue box appears stating the same issue. I have attached snapshot & also Log file for your information.

Hi @Harshal_Belan,

Okay - unfortunately since you used the Control Panel to uninstall instead of only deleting Webdeploy/Webservices - you may have wiped the offline cache and thus, the files that were unable to be uploaded to the cloud.

Regarding your installation, from the logs I see:

2017-06-15 17:29:23,012 - InstallDriver - adsk.dls.streamer.process - WARNING :: Exception in Deploy [Errno 11001] getaddrinfo failed

2017-06-15 17:29:23,012 - InstallDriver - adsk.dls.streamer.process - WARNING :: Failed to remove cache file \\?\c:\users\logicare\appdata\local\autodesk\webdeploy\shared\xerces\3.1.4\win64_1\xerces-ad-c_3.dll: [WinError 32] The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process: '\\\\?\\c:\\users\\logicare\\appdata\\local\\autodesk\\webdeploy\\shared\\xerces\\3.1.4\\win64_1\\xerces-ad-c_3.dll'... IGNORING

2017-06-15 17:36:45,951 - Thread-2 - adsk.dls.streamer.netlib - WARNING :: Failed to reopen connection (<urlopen error [WinError 10060] A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond>). Retrying

The error message about the file being in use by another process can probably be solved by restarting your computer, but the other two are network related. As you can see, Fusion is having trouble getting the address information from the server, and the connection to our servers from your machine keeps failing because your computer is failing to respond.

Have you chatted with your system admin about adding white list exceptions and troubleshooting via this document here? I suggest giving it a read through and making sure that Fusion's ports and domains (listed here) are allowed to go through.

Thanks,
