Education Licence only 300 Credits

Hi All,

I hope that you are well,

I have recently been verified for the Fusion 360 educational account as a student; on the Fusion 360 support pages I found that the educational licences had access to unlimited credits. I wanted to check if this was correct so soon enough I did some searching and found that it was. I created a first test project- a simple cube and went to render it, my render was on very very low quality and cost me 1 credit, I wanted to check whether I had also unlimited credits so then I went to my profile and it showed that I had 299/300 credits available, could anyone help me?

I wanted to double check whether in-fact I was using an educational account so I clicked onto the question mark (top right) in the Fusion 360 app and it told me that I had an educational student account.

Do educational accounts still offer unlimited credits, if so what is wrong and can anyone help me?

Also when I tried to email a Fusion 360 specialist on the support page it greyed that out and said that I had to be a subscriber, so I thought that the best case of action would be here!

Kind Regards

Hey agupta17V5WZM,

Looks like there's a glitch in our system making it appear that you have both a trial (300 credits) and an educational (unlimited credits) license at the same time. Once the 300 run out, or the trial expires (65 days left), you will likely see unlimited credits.

I would recommend that you continue to work as usual, then reply here if you don't see unlimited cloud credits when you need them.

Thanks, I sure will! Just confirming as soon as I use all 300credits does the trial ‘end’, or is it based off how many days it has left?

@jodom4 thanks!

kind Regards

Judging from the info I got from the support team, it looks like it's dependent on the 300 credits running out. Either way, let me know when you get to that point. Good luck with your work!

Hi, thanks for the help. I have just done my first generative design! 😀, it seems that the simulations pull credits from the education pool but when I render it pulls the credits from the 300!

All is okay now!

Kind Regards
