DXF output for laser

Is there any postprocessor that actually works?  Seems like no matter what I select the post bombs out. Tonight I switched from Mill to Laser.  I Just need a generic dxf file for a vendor.  I've tried the AutoCad DXF and the Universal Laser DXF.  Both bomb out.  I would do a screencast but that doesn't work either.

I'm attaching the log for the AutoCad failure and an f3d of the part.  I'm only cutting the perimeter.

The log has an Error: Compensation in control is not supported.  But I don't see any property in the post that resembles that.

Not sure I have the question,

I use dxf files to output to Laser, but not Post processor/s

To get this dxf file, I made a sketch and projected the body into it.  has all the features, you can delete the holes,

New Sketch, on face of the body, Project > Intersect (body),

Then on sketch in browser right click, select "save as dxf" > save to your hard drive,

send to cutter.

If this is not what you meant, then I don't use CAM system here and can't add anything further,

Might help

Hi @rtpurdy

Thanks for posting! The AutoCAD DXF post processor only supports the use of In Computer compensation, as opposed to In Control. This parameter is applied in the 2D cutting toolpath dialogue rather than as a post property - it is under the "Passes" tab as shown below:laser compensation.png

Using the In Computer compensation type will allow your program to post successfully and will compensate for the width of the kerf in Fusion rather than at the machine. Hopefully this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions - I am happy to assist.

Thanks for the tip.  I'm going to see if my vendor can read them.
