Hello,
I'm trying to create a 2D drawing and have encountered an issue I've not seen before. When I create a drawing it always has the white background fitted for an 11*8.5 sheet. I've tried different drawing sizes with similar results. I can't find a way to edit this property, not that I've needed to in the past. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here are examples of 17*11, 11*8.5, and 8.5*11 sheets respectively.
Thanks for any help!
I really have no idea about this. It will be interesting to see what develops.
Restart the computer so everything is fresh, then make a new body (square, .. whatever) save it, and start Drawing option does it do the same thing?
Hi @ryanNDFYJ
I would like to understand whether that is the standard drawing template or one that you have edited.
Please can you share the steps that you took to get to the drawing, if you shared a screencast, that would be helpful.
Otherwise, if you are in the modelling workspace and you create a new drawing, are you choosing option A or something similar to option B?
If it is similar to option B, please can you share the .F2D file with me, so that I can take a look at it.
Hi Clint,
Thanks for your reply.
I made the drawing by selecting the parent component in my design, create drawing, and I am using the ASME template. The white background seems to be stuck on the 8.5*11 sheet size regardless of the selected sheet size.
Unfortunately, I'm working from a different office today and can't replicate the problem.
Ryan
Hi @ryanNDFYJ
When you get back to the original PC, please will you send me the diagnostic log files for our team to have a look at. Ping me the zip file (clint dot brown {a} autodesk dot com).
