Don't have write permissions to save file

I was working on a file yesterday and after making changes and saving them in the morning, when I went to stop for the day I got a message saying that I did not have write permissions for the file. I checked in the teams page and I have editor permissions for the folder, and other files in the folder I can save just fine. I have included a picture of the message I have been getting below. Thanks for any advice!

Hi,

Glad to help. Can you please gather your diagnostic logs?

Help > Support and Diagnostics > Diagnostic log files.

Please post those, it should have some answers.

Hi @ethanA7E82

There may be workaround for this issue. Can you please try these steps:

1. Close all designs in Fusion 360

2. Locate the local cache files directory –

Windows
C:\Users\***\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\***\W.Login

MacOS
Macintosh HD > Users > *** > Library > Application Support > Autodesk > Autodesk Fusion 360 > *** > W.Login

More info at: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...

3. You should see a folder named 'F' there. Rename it (E.g. change it to 'F--')

Now try to open the design in Fusion 360 again and try to save it. It might succeed now.

Even if this workaround works, as Phil suggested, it'd be great if you can still share the log files. It will help us analyze the root cause.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

Thanks for the ideas, I have attached the log files. I exported them this morning, so there maybe a crash in there as there is some issue with Fusion this morning according to the heath dashboard, but I opened and tried to save the file I was having issues with.

I tried the workaround and it worked. Able to save as normal. Thank you for the fix.
