I have a large assembly consisting of many parts and bodies that I would like to convert to a single part. The assembly originally came from Solidworks and has been successfully modified for the current application. The combine bodies doesn't work as there are both bodies and parts. A work around is to save the assembly as a step file, import it to another cad program that doesn't support multiple parts in a step file and automatically/correctly converts the input to a single part that can then be exported as a step file back to F360. Works but there must be a simpler way.
Converting to a mesh file (stl) and converting back to a solid damages geometry and prevents further editing and inclusion in other models/processes.
Any thoughts appreciated.

I don't think there is a simpler way to do this.

Thank you. I was afraid of that. It would be nice if F360 allowed you to do a merged part step export or a combine on import.
