Before someone suggests it's because I'm at an earlier point in my timeline, I'm not.
I created 2 components. I then went back and edited component 1 at an earlier point in my timeline, moved myself back to the end of the timeline, and component 2 was missing from the browser and not visible anymore. So I thought it no longer existed.
I then started creating a new component 2 and tried to give it the same name as the old component 2, but fusion put a "(1)" at the end of the name. So the old one is in the document somewhere.
Furthermore, I went back a second time to edit component 1 earlier in the timeline, and now I have warnings in component 1: reference failure, project source is lost, cache used. It's clearly an issue with the old component 2 because the lines it shows are no longer present in component 1 or the new component 2.
Therefore unless I can find a way to delete the old component 2, I won't be able to resolve and eliminate the yellow item in my timeline. How can I fix this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
I finally figured this out because I saw yet another component disappear!!! And that component had no references to any other components so I knew it wasn't a problem caused by a broken reference. So I started poking around and discovered there's an "overall" timeline at the "root node" level of the browser. Once I found that, I discovered it wasn't at the end of the timeline. That's where I found the original version of component 1 as well as my newly disappeared component. So I was able to delete that component then. Furthermore, I realized that the broken (yellow) icon in my timeline simply needed to be deleted.
So I'm all good now. All sketches are constrained and no warnings. 🙂 Wanted to follow up in case this ever helps someone in the future.
This just saved me so much time re-creating a component! Thank you!!
