Component copy falls apart?

I have a fully jointed and ungrounded component with 9 bodies.  When I copy this component, the copy falls apart.

We go from

To

to

to a surprise.

all the joints are in place, but the bodies have all gone there own ways?

Weird?

Any advice you can offer will be appreciated.

David

Thanks Peter,

Attached the model.

BTW I have found a work around while I was trying to export.

If I press ctrl+z (undo) and then ctrl+y (redo) the move is completed correctly.

Bug?

Hi,

I found another workaround.

Selecting the Component, ^c ^v, Select the new component and move it also works.

The sequence that fails is Select the Component, M, check the copy box, move the copy, click OK on the dialog.  This failing sequence can be recovered by ^z ^c which is unusual to say the least.

Looks like a bug to me.

This behaviour is almost certainly not by design.  IE a bug.

I was convinced I had answered this post already because I definitely played around with this design.

Unrelated to this behavior, you should make sure to fully dimension and constrain your sketches. Otherwise accidental changes can destroy your design.

Yes, this is definitely a bug. @ryan.bales would you look at this ?

It looks like the issue is on compute. if i open the file and do compute all - then copy and paste nothing unexpected happens. If i compute all after the copy its all placed in the proper location. I'll talk to Jeff and figure out what/how we want to log it.
