I am using the free, student version of F360, so what I want to do may not be allowed.
When I open a new page to create a 3D drawing, F360 opens to a template that has the Home position centered on a upper corner of the cube. I would like to change the template so that it opens with Home centered on the front face of the cube. I know how to reassign Home once the template is open, but I would prefer to change the template, so that I don't have to remember this step with every new design.
Thanks,
Mark J

Hi,
Are you talking about templates for the derivation of drawings or are you talking about the display in design mode?
Please show the process in a screencast.

Thank you for responding, g-andresen. I hate to plead ignorance, but I am a very limited user. I don't fully understand your question.
When I launch F360 from the desktop icon it opens to a screen giving me a clean space to work. To the far left of the tool bar there is a rectangular pull down menu button, which is labeled "Design". So I am guessing the answer to your question is "display in design mode".
The opening view of the clean work space is oblique, i.e. as seen from the top front left corner of the cube. I would like the opening view to be from the front face of the cube.
I don't know how to make a "screencast", but here is a screen shot of the opening clean work space.
Thanks for any help you are able to provide.

If it is important to you, click “Front”.
For me, a design should be displayed completely at startup, i.e. in 3D, before I start any actions.

I have prepared a F3D file so you can use it to open Fusion instead of the normal Start Icon you normally. The video will explain. The Prepared file is attached.

Thanks, John, that was very helpful. I was able to launch your file by clicking on the file name in your response above. I'm not able to save the file to the desktop in Windows 11. (I was able to save it as a file within F360).
You can use the File menu, Export command to save it outside Fusion if you want to.
