Cannot update Fusion 360

I just installed Fusion 360 desktop yesterday (5/27/2021). I would assume it would install the latest version. It does not, it installed version 2.0.10148 (See the attached screenshot).

When I start Fusion 360 I get a banner at the top that says "An important update (v 2.0.10244) addressing recent data issues is now available. Please restart Fusion 360 ASAP and follow the steps outlined in this Support Article."

I followed the steps in the article and the update executes until it finishes extracting and then it ends there. I have tried executing this from the command line as well as through a batch file, but the version doesn't change and the banner still shows up. I am running Fusion 360 on Windows 10 Pro.

Hey todd.rathier,

Have you tried a clean uninstall? https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t...

So, a little more information is needed. This install is a lab install, so the process is different than downloading and installing from my Autodesk account which uses the Fusion 360 Client Downloader. With a lab install first have a license server running on the network with Fusion 360 licenses available, you then download a boot loader called "Fusion 360 Admin Install.exe". Then execute the program and Fusion 360 installs (in web-deploy mode I think). I am loading classroom desktops/laptops, so this method works great as you do not have to access the internet and download it each time. It installs Fusion 360 and Fusion 360 starts with no problem, except for it isn't the latest version.

Updating isn't working. These systems have been wiped and reloaded, so this is the first time Fusion is installed, so if I clean uninstall Fusion 360 that was installed by the "Fusion 360 Admin Install.exe" method and then re-install it via my Accounts - Software download, I get the correct version which I would assume would update correctly. So the issue seems to be that if I use the lab method of installing then the "Fusion 360 Admin Install.exe --process update" does not work as the instructions say. I have tried a no parameter install and a global install, with the same results. So what I am trying to solve is why the lab install update doesn't work. It looks like it runs about 1/2 way and then ends.
