It's a bug in Fusion 360 for some keyboard layouts (macOS only, it works on Windows). I'm using Czech QWERTY keyboard layout. To produce the symbol I have to hit Option+8 on my keyboard, but this doesn't work in the Fusion 360 design window, it works only in the Data panel. This issue is there for all symbols where I have to press Option key.

I found the same issue in this post, but for Hungarian keyboard:

Thanks for posting both links. I've logged this as an improvement request to support these keyboard types in mac.

I found this article, does it help to use a virtual keyboard?

Thanks!
No, the only workaround is to change the keyboard layout to US (or to any other layout which is not using Option key for typing symbols)
