Can't save preferences

When I change a preference setting a prompt pops up asking me to sign up for previews.

I'm trying to learn from tutorials, with what I have, and when I am ready to start looking at previews, I will probably seek that option.

Why does it block me saving preference changes when I click "no thanks" on the preview prompt?

I am going to Preferences, Preview, and ticking Sketch - Color sketch geometry based on constraint status.

I cannot get it to save this as ticked, because of the nasty prompt to sign up for previews.

Hi @lhfFKLVG,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

As you noticed - you will have to check the box to sign up for the previews before you can use one. Preview features are features that are not fully released yet and are still being tested. Therefore, we ask that you sign up and acknowledge that these potentially can affect performance. When you opt in, you are just agreeing to the Preview terms and conditions found here

Thanks,

Thank you for explaining that.  It would probably be more user friendly to hide those features altogether until the user has opted in to using them.

It would probably be even better to have a seperate 'test' release specifically for those that want to try out unreleased changes, and make a hard decision about which features are actually included in your main production release and exclude the untested bits.

I find it a little annoying when trying to follow a tutorial and things look and/or behave differently, altho I guess that is a different issue, where those creating tutorials should probably mention their assumptions at the beginning, including that they are using 'preview' features.

However, loving everything I have seen of F360 so far.  Back to the tutorials for me...
