Camera Issues, How to get Tinkercad like performance

Hello

I have been using Fusion 360 for about six months now and made great progress.

What I am not able to get used to though is the camera system. Very frequently, the camera does not move in the axis I want or it does move on that axis but in the opposite direction. My brain and Fusion 360 do not seem to agree on how the model should rotate!

Suspecting that issue is not in my brain, I have purchased a Spacemouse Wireless. That did not seem to solve the issue unfortunately. When it works, the Spacemouse performs amazingly but few times in a minute, the camera would to move on unexpected axes or direction, sometimes both simultaneously. This is certainly constant agony.

When I tried Tinkercad though, life seemed great! Camera movements are beautiful, smooth and very precise.

So here is my question, how to get my Fusion 360 Camera to act like the one in Tinkercad ?

Thanks in advance and Happy Holidays !!

Under your initials in the upper right hand corner, select preferences and go to (pan, zoom, orbit shortcuts) and select Tinkercad.

very impressed. I did not expect that there is an option precisely for what I am looking for.

Thanks so much  @wmhazzard   !

Do you know what is the difference between how Fusion and Tinkercad handle the camera ?

I have never used Tinkercad so I don't know what the differences are.

This is cool - my addition to the question though is how to get Tinkercad view on Autodesk Viewer.  My STL files work just right, but my OBJ files have a weird pivot point I can't seem to move past.  Any hints much appreciated.

I live in hope that, one day, Fusion 360 help will actually help. Sadly, today is not the day.

Specifically, "Under your initials in the upper right hand corner, select preferences and go to (pan, zoom, orbit shortcuts) and select Tinkercad". In preferences, I don't have anything remotely like "(pan, zoom, orbit shortcuts)".

One day perhaps, the help will help
