Hi @Anonymous,
Thanks for posting and welcome to the Fusion community!
I'm sorry to hear about this issue! To help me troubleshoot this would you be able to share some additional information with me? Are you trying to render the design locally or on the cloud? Is this happening with just one design or is it occurring regardless of the design that you are trying to create a rendering for? If this behavior is limited to just one design, would you be able to share the design with me? We have a great article, linked here, that describes the various ways that you can share your designs to collaborate with others. For the purposes of troubleshooting this issue, I would recommend sharing a public link to the design. If for whatever reason you are unable to share the link publicly, feel free to send it to me directly in a private message.
Would you also be able to send me your application log files? We have a great article linked here that provides the directories for locating these files on your machine. I would just like to note that these files appear in folders on your machine that are hidden by default. For more information on hidden files and folders, see the articles we have created for Windows and macOS based machines.
In the meantime, I've seen a similar issue pop up in Revit before where people were getting this error message when the language setting for Decimal separator was not set to the "." character. Would you mind checking up on this setting to see if that issue has crept into Fusion? To do this:
Thanks in advance for the information! I hope my suggestion helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - I am always happy to lend a hand!
Cheers,
hey - still would like to send you the model. What is your email? Kind of in a hurry, thanks!
Hey there @Anonymous,
Thanks for the nudge on this one!
You can send the link to mike.tessier@autodesk.com and I'll have a look. Thanks!
Cheers,
Hi @Anonymous,
Thanks for the invitation to your project! What is the name of the design that is displaying this behavior?
Thanks!
Hi @Anonymous,
Thanks for the nudge again! I did receive your log files, however there weren't any of the typical "red flags" in there.
When I had opened your design and tried to render it immediately, I found that I was receiving the same error message saying that the design couldn't be rendered. I had initially thought that it might have been due to the large number of individual surface bodies (there are almost 1600 individual surfaces) so I had tried to stitch together surfaces to form some solid bodies, but that turned out to be a dead end though.
I came back to the design this morning with a clear head and that's when I had noticed something super simple. When you were creating this design, it looks like you had done the designing within a base feature.
I'm not sure how I had missed the warning telling me this before, but clicking the Finish Base Feature command in the ribbon should allow your design to be rendered (confirmed results on my machine).
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns - I am always happy to lend a hand!
Cheers,
I am having the same issue, it was working yesterday though.
I also have the same problem. strangely though, this is a file had rendered many times with the plantings on. Now it will only render with plantings visibility off.
Anyone has a suggestion?
Thanks
