XML custom profile not on list

Hello,

I am currently reverse engineering some parts for PPE for a hospital.

I am trying to add my custom threads into fusion 360 but they are not being displayed on the dropdown menu within the software itself. I have tried resetting fusion and reinstalling ect.... to no avail.

I have searched and searched online but i cannot seem to find a solution that fixes this. Can anyone please help me?

I have attached two custom thread profiles and linked a quick video.

Many Thanks,

Jason

Obvious question, after adding the new threads to the XML file, did you restart Fusion 360 to read them?

You need to add them to the "latest" Fusion 360 Configuration ThreadData folder when Fusion 360 is not running and then restart it.  Finding the correct one is easy if you simply order them by date.  There are usually a lot of them so you must find the latest.  By the way, when Fusion 360 had an update, you may have to move your custom thread files again. If you do not have the path to the location, consult this article.  (read on below graphic)

I copied your supplied XML: files to this folder, and they show up in the list after I restarted Fusion 360.   So as far as I can tell, you have good files and the method for adding them works fine.  You can see both of them highlighted in th screen capture below.
