X carve cutting air after importing gcode to easel

I have the x carve 1000mm setup. I use Fusion 360 to create my projects and export the gcode. I have downloaded and installed the easel post processor for F360 and it imports the correct toolpaths. However, when i go to carve the router does not plunge to the right depth and just cuts air. Is there something wrong in my setup or gcode?

Would need to see your Fusion design, export as an f3d and attach. You need to make sure your Z datum is the same in Fusion and on you machine. Also does the control have a tool table and are all the tools touched off so their lengths as correct.

"Also does the control have a tool table and are all the tools touched off so their lengths as correct."--Not sure what you mean here. I put in the right dimensions for the tool and the simulation on F360 shows correctly.

Are you using the z-axis probe procedure? Manual or automatic?

I've done both. I even manually set the bit lower than the top of the stock by a 0.25in and still had the same results. The router would move to the start location of the toolpath and raise up about an inch above the stock.

Your zero definition in your setup is the bottom of the model. Set it to the top corner of the current x-y position. Then easel will use that as the zero point.
