When i try to open latest milestone, i wont, see photo bellow.

I havent seen this before after 8 months of using fusion. My routine hasnt changed when closing and opening the software.

I was hopping to do some work, but this programme is holding me to ransom i feel

If i go into Milestone 123, i cant save any  work i do ( ie. the grey disc i extruded , see picture).

Fusion then prompts me i have a more recent milestone. ( fare enough, but what if the newer milestone wont even open?)

I also cant choose to open the newer milestone 124, fusion just says it's not available at this time again

Hi @mossnd,

From the alert messages on the right corner, it would appear the latest version of the file is stuck in the upload queue.  Could you please send us your Diagnostics Logs? From the Help menu, click "Support and Diagnostics" and then "Diagnostics Log Files".

Thx and regards

Also, can you please help me understand the following:

  • Are you able to open a previous version of the file?
  • Are there multiple people working on this file, and if so, do you think a colleague might have saved a new version recently, but that version hasn't finished uploading from the colleague's machine? If so, can you please ask the colleague to start Fusion on his/her machine and let the uploads finish?
  • Are there other files you're noticing this problem in, or is this the only one you know?
  • Can you try opening this file from a different machine?

I can open the previous version file. (i can't over write the latest version file)

Im the only person working on this file, and i only use one PC to do all my work

This is the first and only time so far, a file has failed to upload for me(got stuck in the queue)
IE, it has only happened to this file. Not happened to other project files

Sorry i cant try opening from another machine, as i dont have another machine to open it on

There doesnt appear to be an option to force a file to re upload?

The  Process just appears to assume the upload will be successful everytime, and does not make provisions for

a failure/or a re upload?

One of my colleagues will help you shortly with the Upload problem. The App Log files will help, so thanks for sharing it.

Hi @mossnd

Please follow the below steps:

  1. Launch Fusion 360 and switch to manual offline mode(Please refer to attached snapshot to know how to do it)
  2. Open Jeta.f3d from the side panel and make some changes to it.
  3. Save Jeta.f3d and close it.
  4. Switch to online mode in Fusion 360

I cant get to to step two, because im off line, i cant access Jeta.f3d in the left side bar.
(And i have tired this previously, but the file wont even open, nor will it save)

the file isnt saved to my hard drive, as far as i know, it must be on the cloud??

Thanks, @mossnd for trying out but unfortunately that didn't work out.

We would like to propose one more solution in order to fix this:

  1. Please find this file on your machine : ***/Local/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/***/W.login/F/_Jeta.e5742b37-4cbd-482e-b78a-7d6391c87a5c.f3d
  2. In side panel, Go to the folder in which Jeta.f3d is present.
  3. Click on 'Upload' button in side panel and browse and upload the file _Jeta.e5742b37-4cbd-482e-b78a-7d6391c87a5c.f3d from this location only ***/Local/Autodesk/Autodesk Fusion 360/***/W.login/F/

Yogesh i think i have been able to open the previous file, and then i was able to "save as latest".

this over wrote the current version ( i didnt loose anything from the current version) that failed to upload.

Screenshot (145).png

I made a small change to the model, then saved it as a new milestone.

I then waited for this to upload, then closed fusion.

I have reopened fusion now and opened the new version successfully!

Thanks
