This is driving me NUTS. Somehow the font for sketch dimensions has been set to zero. Not sure if this is the real problem is or how to restore it. Thanks for any help you can provide.https://www.dropbox.com/s/05vukz50exwvbfv/Autodesk%20Fusion%20360%20%28Education%20License%29%202019...Autodesk Fusion 360 (Education License) 2019-07-15 08-39-48.png

Can you File>Export and then Attach the *.f3d file here that exhibits this behavior?

Did this ever work on this machine?

What graphics card/driver are you running?

If you start a new file do you see the same behavior?

If you reboot the computer do you see the same behavior?

All the usual questions...

Hi @dkampWQTNE

If this is the same as the issue I've seen before, it's because Arial has been removed from your system fonts.

I have only seen this on mac so far, let me know if you're on a PC or if the following does not fix it:

To restore the Arial fonts, try one of the following:

  • Copy Arial fonts from online or another mac to ~/library/fonts (If the Library folder does not show, hidden files and folders can be shown using the steps in this article.) The following fonts should be seen in the Fonts folder:

Yes very well.

MacBook pro

Just tried this and it behaves the same. Have restarted and it also does the same thing.

Ran validate font feature in font book and found Arial there but damaged. Restored default fonts in font book, Rebooted and still have the issue.

@dkampWQTNE

What do you mean by damaged? Are you able to use Arial in other applications? Can you try manually installing Arial?

Thanks,

Karina

Yes, I am running the beta and I myself wondered about this last night. Need to create a ticket with Apple. Second bug i have encountered with the new beta. I don't see any solution except to revert to 10.14.

Problem solved then please mark as such

there are a few more that you have not found yet they are still in the latest dev beta

BTW these are not Apple problems , it’s because it’s beta and therefore fusion360 is not supporting unreleased operating systems I am afraid that is the price you pay by running beta os

I keep 10.14.xx on the iMac but run the beta os 10.15.xx on a external SSD

This issue is far from being fixed. It is June 2020 and ever since September of last year, I've read the 2 major issues with the Arial.ttf not displaying in dimensions. It still has not worked for me since OS 10.14.X. I know about the ttf fonts should reside in this folder on iMac's OS ->  ~/library/fonts   (CHECK! THEY ARE THERE!)

I know about restoring the fonts if they are not there. (that little stunt never did work.)

Ok, we are well beyond 10.15 beta because I have a brand new iMac machine with OS 10.15.5.

SO AM I STILL MISSING SOMETHING OR IS THERE A FIX FOR THIS ISSUE?

ALSO, I AM UNABLE TO CREATE ANY NEW DRAWING SINCE BUYING THIS NEW MAC EARLIER THIS YEAR WITH THE CATALINA OS 10.15.  AM I GOING TO NEED TO SUBMIT A FIX FOR THIS ISSUE?

PLEASE HELP, I'M ABOUT TO LOSE MY PATIENCE!  T H A N K  Y O U ! ! !
