Using F360 to test handmade wire gears?

Hi F360 folks:

I'm trying to make a moving wire sculpture in real life. This use shandmade gears made from 12 guage wire. Getting these mechanisms to work together can be tough.

I'm trying to figure out if I could use F360 to model the *actual* way that these gears would interact - so I could make them work in F 360 and then, once all looks good in F360, I would make the gears in real life.

Question: Would F360 be able to show me the real-world motion of wire gears that I create in F360?  For example, once i make the gears in F360 and then join them, is F360 smart enough to show real-world physics and thus show me whether a 23 tooth gear with weird spacing would successfully turn a 17 tooth gear with weird spacing? Or, does it just make the gears rotate, but not in any real world way?

for an example of the sort of thing I want to test in F360 see:

Thanks!

Check out this other discussion below and let me know if it helps.

Using Motion Links to create a rotation ratio  between two joints for each gear. You may also possibly use Motion Study.

I hope that helps to get you pointed in the right direction. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,
