Unable to select design shortcuts

Hi,
I came across this problem I've been repeatedly having.
When I right click in the design workspace opening the menu and left click out of the menu, I am unable to select any of the design shortcuts using "s". The shortcuts menu is visible but I'm unable to choose/select anything.
To regain functionality I have to click anywhere in the shortcuts menu which closes it and then reopen it again.

I am not sure why you are activating the right click menu then left clicking out of it, maybe because you did not mean to, but I do see the issue as you describe.  The quick cure is to after dismissing the right click menu with the left click, left click once again BEFORE pressing the "S" key.  This probably should be reported so I will tag @Phil.E to take a look, Thanks Phil.

Thanks. I can repeat it. After dismissing the marking menu without using it, the UI does not have what is called focus. I'll look into it.

A workaround in this case happens to be my preferred method of using the right click menu. I use Tinkercad navigation so I don't have to use the keyboard to orbit. All navigation, zoom, pan, orbit, is done with the mouse alone. Tinkercad navigation doesn't have this bug.

A feature of Tinkercad navigation is you don't get any marking menu, just the rectangular menu.

  • The marking menu is not customizable, the rectangular menu is customizable.
  • It shows the Shortcuts (this is the custom aspect)
  • If you need the marking menu, use shift+RMB.

Thanks for letting us know, I'll post an update when I get more information.

(Update: this issue is on hold due to a technical limitation. FUS-178865)

Once the shortcut menu stops taking my left-click inputs I have noticed that if I right-clicking out of the shortcut pop-up then the next time I use it  by pressing "s" I can once again select an item by left clicking. This does not resolve the issue for further shortcut menu actions. I have to keep going into the shortcut popup twice (the first time I can select nothing, right-click out, go back in, left click to select an item) to get it to work until I close and re-open Fusion.

Hi, I hate to ask in case you are busy, but can you record a video of this? I retested this workflow again and cannot repeat the problem you are describing. Also, check what build you are using, is it the latest? (see Help > about box)

Hi,

just chiming in, since it seems the issue is not fully resolved in Fusion 2604.0.316 on macOS 15.6.1 (24G90) on MacBookPro18,1. See the Video attached. Left clicks are black and right clicks are green. Oddly enough, sometimes the menu does work (I can click things) but the highlight is missing. But if I dismiss the shortcut menu with a right click everything is looking fine. Once.

Hope this helps, this is my first Video of Fusion...please advise if I can improve the video or help otherwise.

Thanks

Jonas
