Those lines are selected,

Un select them.

turn off the eyeball for all sketches except the one you are editing, did they turn off?

You can only edit articles in the sketch that is opened for editing.

Might help....

What do you mean by "edit" here?  Do you mean dragging?  The curves in this sketch are not located on the sketch plane, so they cannot be dragged - only 2D curves on the sketch plane can be dragged.  You can move 3D lines using the Move command:

Please tell me how to mirror it or offset it by bringing the overall curve to the @jeff_strater  2D plane.

you cannot mirror 3D curves - mirror does not support it.  You can certainly rotate all those lines to the sketch plane, but I suspect that is not what you want to do, because the sketch plane is perpendicular to the plane that those lines are in, and I assume the line geometry itself is correct.  Instead, because there are so few lines here, you'd be better off just redrawing those lines in a new sketch on the correct plane.  Something like the screencast below,  In the screencast, I did not make the lines exact - you can add dimensions, constraints, etc to make this exact

The thing is I am making a quadcopter and after I've applied mirror on the lines I should have offset it and then extrude it.These things I am unable to do due to the mirror & offset not working.I can very well redraw them but in future I won't be able to extrude them or do anything. Please tell me another alternative.I am even ready to redraw the whole thing if it makes the mirror and offset functional in my sketch in a particular way @jeff_strater  or @davebYYPCU  suggests.

I'm not really sure what you are asking about,  As long as the lines are 2D (in the sketch plane) you can mirror, offset, and extrude them just fine.  I don't understand why there is still a problem if you follow my directions of creating a new sketch, drawing the shape mirror, then offset, (or offset then mirror), it should create a profile.  Maybe if you share the shape you are trying to get to, it would help.

I am a rookie. Could you please show me how to create everything  in the 2D plane and  apply offset, mirror, etc

@jeff_strater .By the way I am learning to create a drone by seeing coursera. So I am unable to show you the exact design.
