Turning Fusion360 design into a REVIT file.

Hi there

As a light designer, I need to be able to provide my clients REVIT files so I can get specified on big projects. Is there a way to convert my Fusion designs into REVIT files?

According to the Revit help pages, it can support Step files.

https://help.autodesk.com/view/RVT/2024/ENU/?guid=GUID-E8705303-0610-4A82-9118-0C3A742706D2

Step files can be exported from Fusion using File > Export > (pick file type).

Does this help?

Thanks so much for that. I'll try and find someone locally who runs REVIT and is willing to do the conversions for me 🙂

Is your client willing to open STEP files created with Fusion, using Revit? If they are willing to import the .step files, you can just export from Fusion and save the time. I'm not entirely sure, but once the .step file is opened in Revit, they should be able to save it as Revit data. You might want to see if that is acceptable.

Thanks so much for that. I’m not sure, the industry standard is to have
REVIT files on the product pages. I’ll ask around and see if that’s
acceptable 🙂

Cheers
